Passing high cards and leading lower ones is a part of the game, especially if you are interested in succeeding. There are times, if you have good sense, when you shouldn't PNP in the danger suits. If you are not in a position to advance and the person you ate passing to could be put out or even put close, should you PNP? That is where the good sense comes in, you make the choice.
Playing for fun or playing to win PNP has always been a part of the game and always will be. There is no way around it.
