I haven't been keeping up with the fuel altereds lately, so I just found out about Tim's passing today. I didn't know Tim well but I sold him the car. I remember having many conversations with him about racing he told me about the rear engine dragster he had and the help he was getting from a former fuel racer with the tune up. After many phone calls we made a deal. I loaded the car up and started driving from Florida and he started driving from Texas we kept calling each other along the way to set up a place to meet. We met in a Walmart parking lot just west of Baton Rouge, La. We rolled the car out of my trailer he looked it over, paid me then we rolled it in his trailer. We talked several times while he was putting his motor in it and several times after he raced it. I used to check on the website every now and then just to see how he was doing with it. I was glad to see the car went to someone that truely enjoyed racing it and everything he accomplished over the years. As I said I really didn't know Tim but after watching his acomplishments over the years and reading everything that has been posted about him I can say that I am proud to have met him.
I would like his family to know my thoughts are with them.
