Tiki Island Golf Carts

BUYER BEWARE ---HE stole $14,200 from me, ordered two golf carts in July for my daughter and grandson to be delivered in two weeks, for their Birthdays, lies after lies, promises after promises, week after week, month after month, flew down there 3 times - he gave every excuse possible - 8 months later, no golf carts and they still have my money and He claims he doesnt have the carts or the money to return - BIG SCAM, I cant believe there are people in this world that will do this, how can he think he can he has the right to outright steal money - dont believe a word the owner says, I would never want anyone to go through what I am going through and the expense and time it is costing me to go through the proper channels to pursue this!

We have had the same problem but don’t live in tiki Island and can’t join the Facebook group. Can one of y’all fill me in on what measures have been successful with this guy?

I got the police involved. I bought a golf cart from him and put it on my discover card. He lied and lied and lied for 8-9 months to me and Discover. Finally tracked it down and he had taken the golf cart from a realtor in Galveston whose husband had just died. The realtor had brought to Tiki Carts for repairs. She had to call the police to get her cart back and that why the police knew that I hadn't gotten the cart.
When the police came with me to get my money back, there was a sign saying that they no longer accepted any credit cards. Go figure.

Call the Tiki Police. They are very aware of the problems.

We went through similar issues with this place. Lies and promises until we finally got the cart - but there are many issues with it; tires on the drivers side are different than the two on the passenger side; old, used steering wheel; windshield and cart's top don't fit; and the batteries look new but the cart loses power after an hour.

Yes he scammed me too. Paid in advance for cart charger, he loaned me a used one until the new one came in. Our next visit to Tiki I stopped in to get battery and could not find battery nor transaction. I assumed transaction did not go through and paid again for the battery. As of today no battery and no refund.
