I don’t know where you work, but we don’t have any laundry sergeants on my unit. What we have is some folks that are called laundry service workers. I think they have some sort of a pecking order amongst themselves, but that’s where it all stops. They are not sergeants, lieutenants, captains, majors, etc, where I work.
So tell me, do you guys wear the white uniform shirts, with the Texas Department of Corrections patches on the sleeves and the gray pants, like the old laundry sergeants did? I sure hope they are giving you folks gray shirts, now. Putting an employee in a white shirt, was one of the most dangerous things this agency ever did.
