TDCJ will never be the 'premier' agency of the country unless we replace the current leadership, start treating our staff with professionalism and respect, really invest in rehabilitating this inmates instead of just letting them go about their time and being released, only to come back and serve more time, and stop coming up with all these new and ridiculous policies and procedures that just weigh down our manpower, our time and our ability to manage the building schedule. Admins need to let the lieutenants do their job. Stop coming out with new emails every damn week about something else that needs to be done. Go back to basics with policy.
Then, and only then, will the agency START to see improvement. I might even be inclined to come back to the agency and be a part of the effort.
