This is a job that can be very stressful. In addition to work issues, there can be marital problems, financial problems and all sorts of personal problems that arise. Sometimes life brings a person unbearable problems. The loss of a child, a parent or a spouse can be overwhelming.
I encourage anyone that reads this, and has those thoughts to seek out help. As they say, suicide is a permanent solution, to a temporary problem.
Additionally, if you know someone, anyone, TDC employee or not, that’s depressed or going through a difficult time, talk to them. Offer your assistance, if you are able to help. Sometimes a small act of kindness, like surprising a person a soft drink, from the commissary, can make someone’s day. You never know what kind of issues a person you work beside or live next door to, might be going through.
Take care of yourself and those around you.
