If so, do the same things you did then and hold your employees to the same standard.
Most believe they want to become a supervisor so they won't have to "do anything" not realizing that is far from the truth, a lot more difficult being responsible for the actions of a bunch of knuckleheads than it was being responsible for only yourself.
3 principles of being a supervisor have held true in every industry I have been in since I left the employment of the great state of Texas; Teach; Train and Hold Responsible when required / necessary.
I am in the process of writing a disciplinary on one of my employees, happens to be one I like very much personally, however, she is terrible at her job. I have taught, trained and talked until I am blue in the face. With my current assignment I have a progressive disciplinary system, my holding her accountable is moving her through the stages, if a correction is not made, I will terminate her, nothing personal, simply holding her accountable for her actions / inactions.
Never easy.........but simple nonetheless.
