I have looked at Ebay. Becuase this is my first coil. It necessary to use a twenty pound roll. Oh! And what I found on Ebay, was old wire with silk or cotton insulation. Definitely, not suitable. Anyway, I will not give up. I also, tried a transformer shop(owner didn't want to get involved),and one motor shop. Many thanks again.
: : Hello Everyone:-)
:
: I have been ableto locate a 20 pound roll of 20awg. magnetic wire. From
: one source. I believe, wire in the 22 to 26awg. would be a better
: solution. I see on Bert's site, there transfomer manufacturers. Any leads
: areappreciated.
: Thanks to everyone.

: Hello Doug,
:
: Your best bet is to look in the Yellow Pages for motor rebuilders,
: recycling centers, or electrical wire suppliers. This size of magnet wire
: is usually listed on eBay quite often as well - search eBay for
: "magnet wire". For Tesla Coil use you want to use
: "heavy" build (2 layers of film insulation).
:
: Good luck and best regards,
