It seems you asked this question a long time ago and nobody, as yet, answered.
But to put it in short: No! a hedgehog and a tenrec are not the same.
Like hedgehogs tenrecs too have spines, eat insects and the likes and have multiple other similarities that make them look a lot like hedgehogs.
The reason they are not the same is because their ancestor was completely different. A Hedgehog is a name we give everything that looks small, spiny and eats insects but there are several different hedgehogs like there are several different mammals. A cow is a mammal, but a mammal is not a cow. And neither are a cow and a hedghog similar, just because they are both mammals...
