HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019

My prayer for 2019 is they finally find a cure for cancer, or a way to prevent it. Later this month, or next month, I will be having a mammogram. Although I am an 18 yr. survivor, I still worry each time I have one. Last year was horrible. I had to wait five minutes while the radiologist looked at a huge spot that showed up on the mammogram. It felt like an hour wait. He said it was fatty tissue, but I've never had this happen before, so I'm more scared something is under that. We can never forget hearing the words YOU HAVE CANCER. We have lost the feeling of it can't happen to me, because we know it happened to us.
Today, of all days, I am preparing for a colonoscopy. (Yuck) Soon I will be STARVING & unable to eat anything until around 2:00 tomorrow. The other part is certainly also no picnic, but the starving part is really most difficult. I get weak & dizzy if I don't eat anything. Drinking broth all day isn't too filling. I'm really frightened about what can be found during my colonoscopy. My mother died of colon cancer, I've had a history of polyps, and my brother has also had polyps. Not a good sign with the family history. Please say prayers for me, or send good wishes. I'm actually way more scared about this then my upcoming mammogram. What a way to start the new year. HAPPY 2019.
