However, my PET scan showed lack of healing on present tumors but no new tumors. Onc wants radiologist to get a better explanation for scan since he said the chemo might be working or it might not be working. I'm with the onc and want an answer that is more definitive. Did chemo today anyway and by 3 weeks to onc will have a better answer to scan or will change the chemo yet one more time. Told him I wasn't going home today without chemo and didn't want to come be in 3 days to try something else. Since no new growth we decided waiting 3 weeks for a change wouldn't hurt. Hope we were right.
My pelvis, lumbar and hips are to the point were I am having great trouble using a walker even for short distances and need to spend more time in the wheel chair. CRAP. I can't assess my house in a chair and the damn thing won't fit through most of the doorways. Was able to get the VA to give us an ultra light chair. Weight went from 39 pounds to 24 and when I strip it down (take off parts that can be removed including the wheels) we can get the weight down to 19 pounds. I can lift that out of the car and scoot it to the back steps. Kay can lift it up the 3 steps (I hope). Moving around is getting fairly complicated. Hope the VA can install a ramp to front door or at least an exterior lift. Have to wait on that decision.
The challenges continue. Good thing the 2 of us are excellent at problem solving. And thank God Kay is doing much better then last week. Don't know what I would do without her. We both can still use lots of prayers. We have wonderful friends that have been a great help to us this last week. I can't drive and had multiple people offer rides to where ever either one of us has to go. In spite of all this we both feel very blessed.
thanks for asking
take GOoD care
