After spending many years as a nurse I had developed an attitude that doctors can be just as wrong as the rest of the world. I watched many doctors screw up to the determent of the patient. Every doctor I worked with knew I didn't trust them until they had proven themselves - SO no I didn't go along with whatever the onc said. I questions. I demanded logical, well researched information. And,when the doctor didn't have logical, well researched answer I gave it to him. I would bring print outs of medical studies and research with me to every appointment. One doctor asked me why I did that and I told him that there is no one in the world who knows every thing and I had more time to do literature research then he did and I didn't mind teaching him. I ended up firing this guy because he resented me "teaching" him any thing (boy did he need teaching).
I fired over 4 oncologists and 2 surgeons. Didn't bother me a bit. I just went on down the road and found someone far better. Prayed about it a lot and God directed me to the right people, which is why I'm here today.
