The Meeting Place for Survivors: Radiation issues

So on Friday I had radiation treatment 23 of 36 total ordered. I've had redness and peeling of skin, but starting Friday night I got a bad burn around the front edge of my armpit. The pain is bad enough that I can't lay on my stomach. When I went Monday morning they held treatment for 2 days, put silvadene cream on me and told me to stay home from work x 2 days, take Percocet, go braless and topless as much as possible. Lol - when I told my male boss I needed to go topless he had no argument with me staying home! Anybody have any other advice for me? I'm very light skinned and burn easily in the sun, but I thought radiation was supposed to be the easy part of all this! Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if my chance of recurrence would really be that much higher if I stop radiation now.
