Re: breast cancer liver mets

I have bone mets to most of my spine, pelvis and hips with a few ribs thrown in for good measure. This last recurrence also found its way to my lungs. I am currently on Faslodex and Ibrance. Onc says I will continue this "forever" or until it stops working then we will try something else. My current chemo seems to be beating the cancer back. My tumors are getting smaller and my pain level is decreasing. I am not yet on hospice but I do have a palliative care doctor along with 3 other doctors (primary, onc, and neuro). The Palliative doc helps keep the other 3 on the same page so I don't get conflicting instructions or treatments. I know down the road that Hospice will be involved in my care but currently I try to live each and every day as if it is my last. When I get to the hospice stage I don't want to be thinking I wish I had done more of what I really wanted to do and less of what I thought I had to do, even if I really didn't want to. My motto has become "Live like your dying" each and every day. take GOoD care Zoe
