You should not have to pay a co-pay or meet your deductible when getting a mammogram that's part of your annual check up. The new health care laws says that any preventative care - physicals, pap smears, mammograms, prostate exam, colonoscopies....any preventative screenings according to age guidelines can no longer apply co pays or deductibles. They are all covered 100% by all insurance companies. It's the law! Some doctor's office or facilities will charge if you don't know any better. My mother received a bill for over $200 for her mammogram and I called and got them to remove the charges. I told my mother not to pay ANY medical bills until I look to see what it's for. Ask them why they are charging you.
