I've had anxiety attacks ever since I was around 35. I've been to counseling, taken meds, etc. etc.....the best thing I've found to make them go away (and it's worked every single time) is to immediately get up and start doing something. Even if it's in the middle of the night (which has happened). Once it happened when I was driving. I immediately stopped and went into a store and began shopping (!). Hope this helps you! HUGS.
