Karen, everyone is different, but you may want to be sure you are getting enough hydration during the actual chemo process. I drank at least 3 bottles of water on chemo day and the days after also. It's important.
Also, you could be getting benedryl as part of your drip. I did, and I was like a zombie sometimes. I finally managed to convince my Onc to lower the amount! Benedryl is used to counteract any kind of allergic reaction to specific chemos.
