Hi Polly! Glad you found the site. Loads of support here! You're really blessed that your cancer was found so early. Stage 1B is really early. I'm not a doctor but your treatment is standard because you are triple positive...meaning that you are positive for estrogen, progesterone and HER2. HER2 is an aggressive cancer that's treated with 1 year of herceptin. From what I understand Herceptin has been a major contributor to the success of treating HER2 positive breast cancer. I was triple negative so I didn't take herceptin but I met women taking while I was going through treatment. They were all able to go through their lives normally. I took Taxol and it wasn't bad either. The toughest part will be the AC BUT that's doable too. Like I said earlier, the blessing is they caught it early and once you go through the process, you are going to be fine! This is a really great site for questions and support!
