I wanted to follow up my post and say that if anyone does go to Stalingrad -- especially if by themselves -- you must have a guide or someone who knows the city!!! English speakers are few and far between and their are places the City and out on the Steppe that can be unsafe for the uninitiated. A proper battlefield guide is simply a requirement for non-Russian speakers.
