During his seven years in office, Obama has used his superior political acumen to thoroughly embarrass the Republicans every time he's had a confrontation with them. This will be no different. He might not actually get his nomination confirmed, but he will play this in a way that works to the advantage of the Democratic nominee in November, and makes the Republicans look like pathetic idiots ... as usual.
