As a strong proponent of secular government, I shudder at the thought of some fanatical Talibangelical douchebag like Ted Cruz sitting in the White House. I don't think this flaming theocrat has a snowball's chance in hell of winning the Presidency, but there is a good chance that he'll win the Republican nomination (because the base of that party, particularly in the South, is just plain nuts). Hopefully that's as far as he gets. It will be if Hillary wins the Democratic nomination. If Bernie wins, who knows what might happen?
