Cruz and Carson will probably both go up in the polls. John Kasich and Carly Fiorina were just plain pathetic (to be kind), and once again all the candidates displayed their total ignorance of basic macroeconomics. Of course, the crowd they were playing to won't have noticed any of that. Carson's ignorance of math and simple economics continues to astound me. I lost count of the number of cringeworthy moments he had last night.

Overall, that was probably the most boring of any of the debates so far ... though I must admit that the candidates' ongoing display of ignorance and detachment from reality was mildly entertaining. There's something to be said for consistency.
