Even though I am in the country, I have city water. My water meter is on the county road up a hill and behind me. We had to come off that road and we run the line ourselves. About 7-8 years ago they put it down my highway in front of my house. I get white crust stuff on the tray under my water on my fridge. Plus I get yellow crust on this one place on my humidifier. Everything I read said you had very hard water if that happened.

I bought a water tester to see what it would say. I read a lot of the reviews and their numbers were over 100, some were very high. Mine out of my sink tested 27 (0-50) is very good water and very soft water. I was very surprised so I went up and tested my son's water it was 26, then over in town to my daughter's and hers was 28. I talked to the main water guy at our utilities and he was sending someone to get some of my water to test it at their plant. They even do an incubation period for certain things. He also told me that our water is considered very soft.

Many years ago I was the last person on the line and found all kinds of things in my water. I would take them to the office and show them. Then they came and continued my line and that seem to end the things in my water. It will take several days to get the results back.
