I don't know if I ever shared that Jim and I had actually visited with Bonnie twice on trips to our daughter in LA. My heart hurt so much for her, she was such a sweet, too giving to her son and his dau. They really took advantage of her but she never lost faith that it would get better. The first time we met, we were just listeners, I don't think she really had close friends.

Both times she picked Olive Garden for our lunch treat for her, nice in that there was no rush to empty the table so we could talk in leisure. We never got to visit her in AZ as she got ill and died soon after. She did have happy times there as the bad influences for her family were not there.
