A pot of the big butter beans with ham or smoked sausage. I know it's not healthy, but I always added a stick of butter to the crock pot.

Growing up, Mom always used Navy Beans but I prefer butter beans. My mother in law had a pot of pinto beans every day to go along with their meals. She'd put a pot on early in the morning.Anyone stopping by, knew they were welcome to grab a bowl full.
