I went to the the next town to shop. I went by the animal shelter to see what they needed. I'm too old to rescue an animal now at my age. So I wanted to see what else I could do. I stood awhile waiting for a lady to talk to me and then I sat in one of their chairs in the lobby.

Their cat came up to me and wanted me to love on her. She got in my ear and purred and then rubbed against my arm. I am not a cat person but they always gravitate to me. The lady was so impressed that she wanted me to go sit in their cat room and socialize all of them. lol No I didn't do that.

She told me a wonderful thing I could help with called " Pay it Forward". It helps people get low cost spay and neuter. I am an advocate of people spaying and neutering their dogs and cats. Shame on those that let them keep breeding, then take them out and dump them.

I have fed one stray cat for 3 years and just got another one showing up to eat. They are very feral. The first was very good the first year and the second he scratched my leg twice and drew blood and then bit me pretty bad. I had to go to the doctor.

The lady at the shelter told me that she sent over 800 cats up north last year alone. Is that unbelievable. I asked why we are over run down here in the south and they weren't up north. She said the cities she deals with have a lot of rules if you own an animal.

Years ago some one dumped 2 tiny puppies out by my husband's workshop. I called my granddaughter and her and her friend gave them a bath because they were infested with fleas. The cats are everywhere and some dogs also.
