We had some bad storms last night. My weather radio went off at 2:30 am and then my grandson called me to say I needed to go to the basement. They were in theirs. The electricity was still on but I took a flashlight anyway. I spent until 3:15 am down there. No one spotted a tornado but there was rotation in the storm. The weather man was live online. I watched him on FB on my phone. He told my area to go to our safe place. The winds were over 100 miles per hour. I wasn't afraid and just sat down there and prayed.

When the warning lifted I came up stairs and turned on my search lights on every corner of my house. They are super bright and shine all the way up in the woods. I could not see any damage, trees down etc. It took me awhile to go back to sleep. I saw on the news this morning the damage in Kentucky, some people were killed. I pity anyone without a basement. We are very fortunate that our local weather guy always goes live online when we have a bad storm with live radar so we can see our town and our area.
