I haven't had any around here but there are plenty in the area. Once Mom picked up a rake to rake up some leaves and she felt the handle vibrating. She looked and a carpenter bee had drilled a hole in the handle and was inside. Needless to say she let the rake go very quickly!! They can do a lot of damage to house and decks.
