There are so many dogs and cats that the shelters can't keep up with them. I had read where we ship a lot from the big cities to the north to be adopted. What I hate is when they say they are full and have chosen 5 dogs to be euthanized. How do you go look at them all and say well you'll have to die today to 5 healthy dogs. We've also had one or two no kill shelters. That never worked because they get over run and have to close down.
