Well tariffs work. Before income tax was started in 1913 the government ran entirely from tariffs. It will bring jobs back to the U.S. instead of sending them overseas. There are no tariffs on American made goods.
As for Canada, there is a pipeline of drugs and illegal aliens coming from there and their government has done nothing to stop it. But I don't think we will be taking it over. Tariffs will help.
As for Greenland, it is a strategic military location and we already have a military installation there. But in order for us to take it over, Denmark has to be willing to let it go. If that happens better we have it than Russia or China.
As for the government jobs lost. The government cannot afford to keep a workforce it doesn't need. That is a burden on every taxpayer. Besides there are far too many who are not doing their jobs. We need to have more private sector jobs which means bringing back manufacturing to this country. We need to be a more self sustaining nation like we used to be. There will have to be imports but we don't need to be exporting jobs like we have been doing.
As for egg prices. They will come down as soon as more laying hens get old enough. Millions were destroyed by bird flu and chicken house fires. It takes 6 months for a new chick to start laying. They need time to get there.
