Re: April jubilee
Thank you, KarenL, for your answers.
Antoinette and Sophie were sisters and yes, double marriages in the span of 5 days for the House of Luxembourg!
Prince Philip did attend his sister's wedding, I believe he's one of the 3 little boys in the front, I admit I don't know which little blonde haired boy in the photo is Philip.
What a great array of weddings in April. I loved the de Ligne wedding. Teresa Marie of BTS was a beautiful bride and her gown was stunning.
Chris, you outdo yourself each month (clapping a round of applause for you)
Chris, you always put on a wonderful slideshow of past wedding memories!🙂
It's sad to know Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace did not live to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary this month. But they left behind numerous descendants now. Three children, 11 grandchildren, and at least 6 great-grandchildren.
Time flies by so fast that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will soon celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary, with their three children ready to help them celebrate!
Questions: Were Princesses Sophie and Antoinette of Luxembourg sisters or cousins of some sort? They both married their husbands in the same month and year so I assume they must be at least sisters.
Was the Duke of Edinburgh present at his sister's wedding?
