As long as the flaps are healthy going into stage 2, there is no real risk to their wellbeing. The beauty of natural tissue reconstruction is that we have a lot of freedom in the second stage once the technical matters of the first stage are behind us.
I'm deeply invested in making sure we do no harm and want for you to have as beautiful a final outcome as can possibly be. We will add more thickness in the donor site areas, so sitting should be improved once that is accomplished......some of what you are experiencing is related to the fact that healing is still taking place but, that said, the surgical changes should improve things even further from there.
To hear that you are trying swimsuits and undergarments that make you feel beautiful is fantastic.....that is where the magic is on my end. To know that you will go forward in a better place that when we met, reminds me that this work is worth the effort.
