I have many referrals from friends to you. My diagnosis was 4 months ago and I had a lumpectomy 2 months ago.
My BC was DCIS with two 4mm invasive cancer. Pathology report shows negative margin and negative lymphnode. My oncotype DX is scored 17. Everyone recommends me 4-week hyprofractionated radiation therapy ASAP, and later Tamoxifen.
I am concerned about radiation risk and damage on my skin/breast tissue, in addition to creating devot by the lumpectomy area which is right above my NAC on my left breast.
I had a c-section 15 years ago, and have some pannus "hanging" right above the scar line. I am interested in DIEP as it may address my fat/skin hanging issue in addition to give me a new left breast after my mastectomy.
However,I read lots of failed DIEP and am not sure if DIEP is my best option, as I prefer to use my own tissue to transfer to my left breast.
I live in Los Angeles. What do you recommend me to do as a first step? I feel that I need to make the decision soon since I am passing that 2 month mark after my lumpectomy.
