I read your SGAP paper from 2004. In Fig. 6 (p. 101) it's hard to believe u obtained that much tissue from her upper hip area (before pic) to make what appear to be substantial-sized breasts.
With reasonable certainty (based on my exacting eye & two consultations so far), my upper hip fat would yield about the same volume as my lower tummy, if that. I closely resemble the body habitus of the patient in your body lift paper (p. 556-57 Figs 7 & 8) although my orig breasts were not as full as her "before" ones and I'm somewhat narrower. Barring a stacked flap (or body lift), am I destined for a very small volume flap recon - be it DIEP or SGAP? And even if it is A/small B volume, should a talented surgeon be able to shape it with as max fullness and projection as possible?
Has the body lift recon gained acceptance outside NOLA? Have you trained surgeons that are now practicing it in the northeast anywhere?
Thank you again. I can't imagine how you do all that you do, and still make time for us here on this board, but I am soooo glad you do! ((hugs))
