I developed an ice burn on the lateral side of my breast that extends somewhat towards the medial aspect of the breast (extends 3 inches long by 2 inches approx The ice was protected- not right on the skin- I had it on between 10-20 minutes I have a mix of 1st and second degree burns. The first two days it looked like first degree- I kept it covered with aloe vera and sterile gauze. Then at 48 hours it appeared like there was second degree burn also- d/t blister formation (one)- I had a compression bra on. I have been using aloe vera x 1st day bacitracin, sterile gauze pads 2nd day/3rd day (today). I refilled my keflex. I started high dose vitamin C (yesterday 2000 day) eating lots of good food carrots, nuts (almonds and all other nuts) going out to get some fish oil supplements and vitamin E will start today (on no other meds) Anything I can do to make this heal better or prevent scarring or hyperpigmentation? I am very fair skinned.this happened 1 week post op from implant revision. I see my doc tomorrow- however, i am worried about scarring/hyperpigmentation. Any thoughts of your or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
