I don't offer the PAP flap to my patients for these and other reasons. Direct efforts to stretch the area will usually help while the scars are maturing (1st 12 months after surgery). So, stretches with bends at the waist and other maneuvers that pull against the tight areas will often help loosen the scars. Should be done with slow steady motions held for as long as you desire rather than bouncy movements.
Hope this helps, the scars may actually widen out a bit with these efforts but should feel better.
