5+years post DIEP

I am almost 9 years post mastectomy and 5 1/2 years post bilateral DIEP. When my DIEP was done you noted it appeared radiation treatments had "cooked" my mammary blood vessels and therefore you had to use latissimus vessels to attach my flap on the radiated side. This problem with compromised mammary vessels was likely the reason I had "rejected" implants 3 times before giving up on them...fluid build-up around implants could not drain and eventually burst through to the surface. So, here I am, 5 1/2 years later and I have finally lost all the weight I had gained with chemo/steroids (40 pounds). And some of that 40 pounds lost was in my new breasts. I'm wondering if enough time has passed that I could consider implants again to both replace the lost size but to even out the size. There is about a full cup size difference between my breasts. What do you think? Would it be possible I have had revascularization to the area that would support implants?
