I consulted 2nd opinions with many (even u- but, couldn't afford it ). So I was seeking consults in the area and decided to finally get this doctors note from this surgery center b/c the more I looked at it the more I thought he put two different implant sizes in (which he didn't from the labels in the chart-one pocket is just larger per a 2nd opinion.)Anyway, I usually go to the hospital for surgery - but this last time I decided to go to the surgery center that is part dr/hospital owned.
I really didn't read it - until my last second opinion quickly said he did a flap on you and did a lot of work. I was confused. I was so nervous that it went in one ear and out then I sat down and read his note. It says: fasciocutaneous flap was elevated from the thoracoepigastric region and advanced onto the chest wall. This was dissected from the deepest Scarpas fascia, advanced onto the chest wall and secured in place with ethibond sutures. Multiple points of fixation were utilized....etc.
Does this say in regular terms that I had tissue removed from the abdomen and put in the breast??? Obviously I am confused.
If so - I didn't- I was only in the OR for a half hour per the OR notes- I checked that out purposefully b/c it looks like not too much work was completed- Any thoughts? And, how can I get this corrected if it says what I think it says.... Thanks..... Victoria or Stix
