My new reconstruction (completed 9-13) was done with alloderm /implants. My first reconstruction for cancer was completed approx. 3.5 years ago (on the other side). The non alloderm side (2010) looks pretty darn good. The new (2013 alloderm) breast looks lower and has an odd shape. Both implants are the same size. Two different surgical approaches. in 2010 the implant was exchanged via the infamm. fold and lots of stiches in the fold- I remember it was tight and hurt afterward. in 2013 the implant was exchanged via the horizontal incision. that was there from stage 1. No a whole lot of stiches from the way it felt post surgery.
Have you ever heard of two different approaches on each side? The Ps didn't inform me of this till 5 min. before OR.
I hope this is till fixable through the original incisions (horizontal).
What are your thoughts on this.
