Thank you. Very helpful. I just met with a breast surgeon yesterday who told me my skin was too thin to scrape the nipple and would likely die if she manipulated it too much. Have you ever found a breast that had the specific challenge of skin that is too thin to core and save the nipple? (I have not been diagnosed with BC and have never had radiation.)
Also, do you always do incisions at 6 O'clock from the bottom of the areola down to the inframmary fold for stage 1 NS DIEP (even with ptosis) or does the incision differ from patient to patient?
