I have seen many good reviews of it but also a few mixed ones best make up your own mind you might love it I just never got away with Christopher Nolan I find them too overblown and confusing.

After great anticipation and waiting what seemed like ages to see it just back after watching it in IMAX (25 mikes away) and tbh was massively underwhelmed. The special effects and action sequences were very good to excellent especially the Cyclops in the cave sequence. But otherwise it was very painfully slow in parts (especially at the beginning)I can’t remember looking at my watch so many times in a cinema to see how long was left.
Maybe it’s this particular directors style but I feel he concentrated on the actions sequences over the general storytelling. I have read the Iliad and Odyssey and I have to say that the general theme of the book didn’t come over in the film.
The acting was good especially Samatha Morton who for me was the star of the film with her short but chilling part. Agamemnon On screen looked like a Darth Vader minus the black costume but with an enormous Star Wars like helmet.
Trying to portray 500-600BC history to present day even with all the technology available still didn’t work for me maybe it needed a more thoughtful director but that’s just IMHO so try and catch it yourself.
Summary
Beginning 4
Middle 8/9
End 5
Action sequences 9
