my wife goes out to pick our son up from his school leavers' party. Comes back rambling about how he has lost his phone then taken hers and now both have been lost. Drives back, can't find either phone. Son getting upset. I ask what exactly has happened, don't fully understand the explanation. Find son's phone on the sofa.

I ask her to repeat the story, she goes ballistic and accuses me of making things worse, I explain that I am trying to help. She screams that she doesn't need my help.

Ten seconds later : "can you ring my phone?" I do, whilst pointing out that she has just told me she didn't need my help. Another explosion. I tell her she is out of order for taking it out on me, suggest calming down and using "find my iPhone" which she does, and locates said phone in her car.

I am promptly told I have been grumpy and made the situation worse. I vehemently disagree with this assessment and say so. This apparently proves how I am in the wrong.
