Thatcher would probably have been a one-term PM, and the privatisation mania, the deliberate destruction of our manufacturing sector, the hobbling of unions, the selling off of housing stock, the wholesale adoption of "Reaganomics" etc might never have happened.
I suppose the counter-argument is that the electorate may still have rejected Michael Foot's Labour. We will never know.
It's a more interesting thought experiment than whether England could have won last night if Tuchel hadn't made those subs though
