Considering what his predecessor had to deal with uo and finish in the same positio (minus poideducrion) i am not sure i would be wanting to open up that debate if i was moyes.

Saying we hope to compete with Brentford is painful.
But I don't think we regressed. That money had to be spent just to stand still even (though we could have spent it a million times better). We had a squad of 14 (?) players, there was a lot of work to do.

As said is that the sort of sentiment you want from our manager ? We struggle to compete with brightom etc...
You could argue we actually regressed last season points v £ spent.
I would like my everton manager apologising for the last 7 games and promising we will put it right next season.
Instead we get all the knives to gunfight shite only this time its against brighton and btentford

“Well obviously to try and do better than we done last season. We certainly done better last season than we had the previous seasons, but ultimatley you know you're always trying to progress.” - David Moyes on aims for next season
I’d rather he was a bit more ambitious and setting a higher benchmark but he’s not… wrong??

As spoke to jim white..
"I don't know if a club like Everton now we can make big strides but we see how well the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford are doing, so there's no reason why we all shouldn't have those ambitions to try and at least match those clubs and how they go about it.
If that dirsnt get him the "dyche" thank you and goodbye then we are definitely a cash investment for them rather than a football one.
We are back to "knife to gunfight" kenwright would be proud of him.
