He's had one summer pre-season to try and cobble a squad together with limited resources when we were down to the bare bones in terms of numbers, and certainly ion terms of squad quality.
He now has one further summer pre-season to try and improve what is a slightly more stable squad picture. There's still a lot of work to be done though, needless to say.
He deserves, in my opinion, that, and the coming season to prove what he can do and to see how much further he can progress us.
Who knows, he may have hit his ceiling with us already, but he more than deserves another season to prove that not to be the case. I'd say that at the end of the coming season will begin to be the sort of time period in which the ownership can start to make an assessment for the medium to long term future.
Moyes was never brought in as the answer to our long-term future lofty ambitions. He could still, of course, prove to be the man for that particular task. I doubt it, but for now, steady progress and leaving the club in a 'solid' state for whoever takes over next is, like it or not, progress for Everton.

As spoke to jim white..
"I don't know if a club like Everton now we can make big strides but we see how well the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford are doing, so there's no reason why we all shouldn't have those ambitions to try and at least match those clubs and how they go about it.
If that dirsnt get him the "dyche" thank you and goodbye then we are definitely a cash investment for them rather than a football one.
We are back to "knife to gunfight" kenwright would be proud of him.
