The movement of players on a pitch is often lost on TV viewers as the camera follows the ball. Those who have played the game to a reasonable level will know that the creation of space is the ultimate goal in the modern game. Players are now faster, fitter than 20 years ago, the pitch is often condensed thanks to the high press and a teams movement is crucial in order to win games.

I see it on here quite often, when someone jumps on a player for having a bad game and does not see the issues that caused the problems. If the player in front, beside or behind you is not 'at it' and leaving you with no out pass or no back up.... you will struggle as the opposition pile in.

England were excellent last night against a team that was well organised and more than capable of cutting lesser teams apart. As a unit, the team was strong and united...... that was the key factor in the end.
