It was so obvious early on that Turkey were going to fail by attempting to pass it to death and try and walk the ball into the net. Some technically good players they have, but clueless in the final third when they needed some real cut and thrust and incision.

In contrast, Australia were brilliantly organised, defended like their lives depended on it, and had the pace and directness to catch the Turks out when needed.

Great result for the Aussies and thoroughly well deserved. They'll give most teams a game but ultimately will lack a bit of quality to progress into the very latter stages.
