We will win on appeal.

1. We've just hired Slaughter and May to represent us in the appeal. [https://www.thelawyer.com/everton-fc-calls-in-slaughters-for-burnley-appeal/]/ Together with the fact that we fired our internal legal counsel recently this implies that we didn't give the best account of ourselves in the original hearing and were perhaps complacent and/or underprepared.
It's a good sign that we're taking things more seriously now but I'm a bit worried about why we didn't have better support initially.
2. There is a lot more bang for the buck in women's football then the mens and I don't think it would take a LOT of investment to move beyond the likes of Brighton and London City and perhaps even challenge Tottenham/Man United. Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City are streets ahead of the rest but given how the Roma women's team are proper European contenders I am hopeful that we will be taking it seriously.
Scott Phelan was appointed Interim manager and as far as I can see that hasn't been made permanent yet. If he does get the job, that screams "stability" and low ambition. Thus far I've seen zero discussion of transfer targets. Hannah Forshaw left as CEO and I don't think there is one in place. So maybe we're not making a decision on manager until there's a CEO? I'd feel more confident about the Men's team if I saw ambition and excellence in the women's side of things.
