The player that was cynically fouled (yellow card all day long), still had to cut inside / change direction and then either shoot or attempt a pass to the marked player in the middle.

Ridiculous decision.

Having seen number 2 again in slo-mo, it does appear as though it's not just a clumsy flailing arm, but a deliberate attempt to slap the opponent's face, albeit an action that was masked by an ongoing tussle between the two players. I can see what that one was ultimately given.

Number one was clumsy and unfortunate but letter of the law stuff - no complaints there.
