of course it makes sense to have a first team regular under contract and on (presumably) relatively low wages but the fact that this is announced now shows either the club are too busy sorting transfer targets than being worried about visuals, or just aren't thinking things through.

Either have him in the new kit OR make an exciting signing first!!
